Global Colours Polyurethane Gloss Varnish is a concentrated glazing medium for artists, which produces a final clear protective coating of the toughest degree. 

It is a hard polymer producing a non-tacky concentrated glaze, designed for maximum gloss on hard surfaces where flexibility is not needed; e.g. concrete, wood, or boards.  If greater flexibility is needed use Global Colours Gloss Medium and if further flexibility is needed then use Binder Medium diluted with water. 

For varnishing, use this product undiluted.  Evenly apply slowly with a soft, broad brush in the direction of the wood grain.  Allow to dry for several hours between coats, 2 to 4 hours is recommended, as coating before the previous coat has dried can cause the varnish to dry cloudy.  Do not apply more than 3 coats in one day.  Dry time will also vary depending upon weather conditions and temperature.  Can be sanded gently after drying for 24 hours.

Apply 3 coats for water and alcohol resistance.  Do not use over oil-based products.  Suitable for indoor and outdoor application.

This product has adhesive properties so protective clothing should be worn when mixing and applying.  Do not delay in cleaning all equipment with soap and water. 

This medium is compatible with the range of Global Colours acrylics and other mediums, working together to create a highly versatile painting system for all artists.

Available in 250ml jars and in a Polyurethane Matte Varnish.  Larger sizes are available upon request.
